One game on this site was written by us: Stellar Drift, a procedural 3D space exploration game built for this arcade and hosted here in full. Everything else belongs to somebody else. The great majority are streamed from distributors — Famobi and Miniplay — whose files come off their servers rather than ours, and who run embed programmes for exactly this. Two more are served from this site: HexGL, an open-source project kept under /games/ with its original licence file exactly where it was, and PolyTrack, carried under its developer's permission. Sixteen are archived Flash games, and those really are copied here: Flash is dead and their original hosts are gone, so the files come from the Internet Archive's preservation collection and are played by Ruffle, which we also host. Each one names its original developer and links back to the archive item it came from. They are still somebody's work — a takedown request removes any of them. This page lists every one of them. If you enjoyed something here, the right place to say thanks is the author — go and find their game at the source.

The watermellon site itself — the layout, stylesheet, launcher and artwork — is the only original code here, and it is MIT licensed. Cover images are screenshots captured from each game as it runs. If you own one of these projects and want it taken down, see the DMCA page — it comes down the same day.
